This is not a syrupy romance, with predictable plot lines and story book endings. No, this is a refreshing story about a family who doesn’t have it all together, yet they work through the pain in spite of how easy it would be to walk away.
Life doesn’t always follow the path you expect and I appreciate authors who don’t force their piece into a conventional mold. Sometimes, we need to read fiction with a little bit more realness to the manuscript, and Susan May Warren accomplished that remarkably.
If you’re new to the Deep Haven series – this is the perfect book to start with – each book in the series is a stand alone story.
