What could be better than starting off the New Year with a marriage challenge? Over the past couple of months, I have been devastated by the substantial amount of friends and acquaintances whose marriages have fallen apart. That’s why I’m so excited to announce Ashley’s new online challenge: 31 Days to Pray for Your Spouse. It’s so needed!

The challenge takes place through a series of devotionals compiled into one convenient book called, 31 Days to Build a Better Spouse, as well as participation in an online accountability group. I had a chance to preview the book Ashley wrote, which coincides with the challenge, and I am impressed with the succinct, yet adequate way she covers each daily topic.

This isn’t about nagging your husband to change, or shoving “How-to” books in his face, although sometimes we wonder if marriage would be easier with step-by-step instructions!

No, this is a time to stop……and pray. A time to let the Lord guide your marriage. A time to let the power of prayer radically change you and your spouse. One day…..one heavenly conversation at a time.

Starting January 1st, we will be praying about our man’s,

  • Integrity
  • Relationships
  • Attitude
  • Spiritual Growth
  • Mind
  • Future

and 25 additional character traits and topics.

By the end of the 31 days, you will have a better understanding of what it means to let God lead in your marriage. Handing over the reigns will relieve a whole lot of pressure on yourself and on your spouse!

Want to join?

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Buy the 31 Days to Build a Better Spouse ebook. Its only $2.99 if you use coupon code LIFEbyAP.

You can work though it at your own pace, follow along on my Twitter or Facebook page, or join an online accountability group, which Ashley will announce a few days before the challenge begins. This book will give you Bible verses to read in relation to the daily challenge and will include a short devotional from Ashley. There are also sample prayers at the end to help guide you in your prayer journey. Each day will only take 5 minutes of your time, but I guarantee it will be time well spent.

2. Register for the Challenge.

This is how we will form online Facebook or email accountability groups so you can check in and encourage like-minded women.

3. Grab some flair for your blog.

Make sure to link the graphic to this page.

4. Share it!

Facebook it, Tweet it, Google+ it, Pin it, or whatever your heart desires. Just get the word out!

Prayer is important……I hope I have proven that point. The Pray for Every Nation series we do every Wednesday is already rocking my world. Imagine what this will do to our marriages!

FYI, this is the last week of Media Review Mondays. I had a lot of fun picking different movies, books, and other culture-related products to review, and I will still do those time-to-time, but not in a link-up format, because frankly, it didn’t work. It’s all good though. I still love you. {grin}
